CD cabinet

this spinning cabinet system is designed to hold up to 25 standard CDs per cabinet. my most engineered project, the structure of the cabinet involves a small mitered case suspended inside a larger mitered case, spinning on nylon washers recessed into each case. the shelves have cork pads to keep the CDs from moving as it spins, and are just over half the depth of the case to allow ease of access to the CDs and make them look as if they are floating. each cabinet can be hung on its own or side-by-side with other cabinets, creating a void-like effect that is only broken when spinning open the cabinet.
